What to Remember Before Running The Major's Footlocker — ARC Raiders U4N

The Major's Footlocker quest in ARC Raiders rewards players who approach it with a clear route and a reliable extraction plan. Tian Wen sends you into Dam Battlegrounds to recover Major Aiva's Mementos, and the item is located inside Ruby Residence. The mission itself is not complicated, but forgetting one small step can force you to repeat the run. Checking your ARC Raiders Items before deployment can help you prepare for both the collection and extraction parts of the objective.

Locate Ruby Residence
Deploy into Dam Battlegrounds and head toward the northwestern portion of the map. Your destination is Ruby Residence, a point of interest containing three red apartment buildings.

The complex is your primary landmark. Once you arrive, avoid assuming that every building contains the objective. The correct building has a specific location within the complex, so identifying it first saves time.

Pick the Left-Most Apartment
The quest takes you into the westernmost, or left-most, apartment building. Enter this structure and head directly toward the third floor.

The mission's location is concentrated enough that you do not need to perform a broad search of the building. Staying focused is especially useful if you are trying to minimize the amount of time spent in the area.

Search the Back Bedroom
When you reach the third floor, look for a back bedroom. The most useful clue is a desk sitting in front of a large square window that overlooks the south side.

A small box is placed on the desk. This container is the footlocker you need for the quest. Approach it and interact with it to begin searching for memorabilia.

The interaction takes some time to complete, so do not interrupt it or immediately run away. Wait until the search bar finishes.

Collect the Dropped Memento
After the interaction completes, Major Aiva's Memento drops out of the footlocker. You must physically pick it up and place it in your inventory.

This detail is worth remembering because the search animation and the actual collection are separate steps. If you search the box but fail to collect the item, the objective will not be properly secured.

Once you have the memento, it is time to think about extraction.

Protect the Quest Item
A Safe Pocket augment is an excellent choice if you have access to one. The quest item is highly contested, and storing it inside a Safe Pocket protects it if you die before successfully extracting.

This can dramatically reduce the frustration of an unsuccessful run. You still want to make it back safely, but the Safe Pocket gives you an extra layer of security.

Choose Your Extraction Point
Players with a Raider's Hatch Key have a convenient option close to Ruby Residence. The Raider's Hatch is located directly beneath the apartments, making it the fastest and safest extraction point described for the quest.

If you do not have the key, you will need to use the free extraction point at the power generation complex. This requires more movement, so be more cautious once the memento is secured.

The difference between the two routes is important when planning the run. A nearby extraction lets you focus on a short escape, while the free extraction requires you to travel farther with the objective.

Return to Speranza
Once you successfully extract with Major Aiva's Memento in your inventory or Safe Pocket, head back to Speranza. Speak with Tian Wen and turn in the mementos.

Completing the hand-in unlocks the Hullcracker blueprint, which is the quest reward. The entire mission can therefore be summarized as a simple sequence: Dam Battlegrounds, Ruby Residence, western apartment, third-floor bedroom, desk by the window, memento, extraction, and Tian Wen.
